What is the best image to video AI?
It depends on the clip. For sound in the same take, Veo 3.1, Seedance 2.5 and MiniMax H3: they make the sound and the picture in one run. For the lowest price per clip, Seedance 1.5 Pro: $0.067 for a 5-second 480p clip without sound, the cheapest run here. For the quickest clip, Gemini Omni Flash 1.1: about 24 seconds in Leap's own runs at the default settings, the shortest wait here. For the longest clips, FLUX.3 Video: up to 20 seconds in one run. They all run in the same studio, so you can give two of them the same prompt and keep the better clip.
Can I animate a photo of a real person?
Seedance 2.5 and the other Seedance 2 models won't start from a picture that may show a real person. Seedance 1.5 Pro will, and Leap's talking photo runs on it. Only use a photo of someone who has agreed: Leap's Acceptable Use Policy forbids showing a real person who hasn't.
Do I have to make the picture on Leap?
No. Upload a photo or picture you have the rights to, or make one first with an image model on Leap. Most clips on this page started from a picture Leap made, and the caption says which model made it.
Which image to video AI can I try for free?
All of them. Sign up with a Gmail, Outlook or work address and you start with $2 of free credit, no card needed. The credit works on every model here; on Seedance 1.5 Pro, the cheapest, it covers 30 clips. After that you pay per clip, in dollars, with no subscription.
Do I need an account with each maker?
No. One Leap account runs all 10 of them, in the studio and through the API, from one balance in dollars. You see the price before each run, and a run that fails costs nothing.
Can I use what I make commercially?
Yes. You own what you make on Leap, so you can use it commercially, and we never train AI on it. The people and brands shown in a result can still have rights in it; the Terms say more.
Is there an API?
Yes. Every model here runs through Leap's REST API at the same price as in the studio, and agents can call them through Leap's MCP server.
