Who it's for

Independent artists
A Canvas for every single on release day, without paying a designer for each one.
Labels and managers
Loops for a whole roster's releases, each one made from its own cover.
Apple Music and socials
The same loop as motion artwork, or as a story behind a clip of the song.

What you get

Five motions
Drift, pulse, rain, neon flicker and dreamy push, or Surprise me, which picks a motion for your art.
Your art, carried on
The square cover is kept whole in the middle of the tall frame, and its world goes on above and below it.
A seamless loop
The clip starts and ends on the same frame, so it loops without a jump.
Title kept or left out
Lettering on the art stays exactly as it is and never moves, or comes out, as Spotify suggests.

Questions

Canvas loop, answered

Does it fit Spotify's Canvas specs?
Yes. It is a 9:16 clip of 5 to 8 seconds, at 720 by 1280 pixels or 1080p, which you upload in Spotify for Artists as it is.
Does it have sound?
No, and that is on purpose: Spotify plays your track over the Canvas, so the loop is silent.
Should I keep the title on it?
Spotify suggests leaving lettering out, since the player already shows the song and your name. If you keep it, it stays exactly as it is on your cover and never moves.
What does Canvas loop make?
Your cover art as a Spotify Canvas: a vertical 5 to 8 second loop of the art's own world in slow motion, with no jump where it repeats.
What do I need to bring?
Your single or album cover, or other artwork for the song. Art without real people's faces works best.
How does it work?
Upload your single or album cover, or any artwork for the song. Pick a motion, such as drift, rain or a neon flicker, and keep the title on it or leave it out. Get a silent 9:16 loop in about four minutes, ready to upload as the track's Canvas.
What can I choose?
Motion: Drift, Pulse, Rain, Neon flicker, Dreamy push or Surprise me. Title and name: Keep it or Leave it out. Leave any of them to Surprise me.
How much does it cost?
From $0.70 a second, and you see the exact price before you press go. A run that fails costs nothing, there is no subscription, and you can start free without a card.
Can I use the result commercially?
Yes. You own what you make on Leap, so you can use it commercially, and we never train AI on it. The people and brands shown in a result can still have rights in it; the Terms say more.
Can I run it from code?
Yes. Developers run it as leap/canvas-loop through the Leap API, at the same price, with the same choices.

It runs on Nano Banana 2.1 and Seedance 2.5, with the prompting done for you. Rather write your own? Open a model's page and start from there.
