AI paraphrasing tool

Paste your text and see what a rewrite costs. If you go ahead, a language model rewrites the whole thing in the same language and keeps your points, so it reads like you wrote it. The rewrite is paid, and the price shows before you pay anything.Updated

Only need stock AI phrasing cleaned up? The free humanizer does that in your browserNothing leaves this page until you press the button on the price card.

How the rewrite works

  • Paste at least 20 words. The box counts them as you type, and nothing leaves the page yet.
  • Press the button. A card shows what rewriting that text costs, worked out from its length. Nothing is charged.
  • To go ahead, press the card's button. Leap keeps your text for an hour and opens the Rewrite page in the studio, where you sign in with Google or email and find the text waiting.
  • Press Rewrite there to start. It's paid from your Leap balance, with no subscription.
One rewrite takes up to 3,000 words, so a longer paper goes in parts. Your text isn't stored once the rewrite is done.

What the rewrite does and doesn't do

A language model rewrites the whole text in the language you pasted it in. It changes the sentence structure and wording throughout and keeps your points. It doesn't check facts or add citations. It can also drift, making a careful claim sound more certain or swapping a technical term for a looser one, so read the result against your original before you use it, especially numbers and quotes. It also promises no detector result: no tool can honestly say a text will pass Turnitin, GPTZero or any other detector.

When the free humanizer is enough

If your draft says what you mean and only sounds like a chatbot wrote it, try the free AI humanizer first. It runs in your browser, cuts stock phrases like "It's important to note that", turns em dashes into commas, strips invisible characters and lists same-length sentences for you to vary. The rest stays as you wrote it.A full rewrite makes more sense when nearly every sentence needs new wording: a draft that still reads stiff after the cleanup, or source material you're paraphrasing for a literature review (which still gets its citation).

How to paraphrase well by hand

  • Read the passage until you can explain it without looking. Then close it, write from memory, and compare to check you kept the meaning and dropped the phrasing.
  • Change the sentence structure as well as the words. Start from a different part of the idea, split a long sentence or join two short ones. Swapping synonyms one at a time leaves the original showing through.
  • Keep the facts exact. Numbers, names and technical terms stay as the source has them, and nothing goes in that the source doesn't say.
  • Quote instead when the exact wording matters, as with a definition or a line you want to analyze, and put it in quotation marks.

ParaphraseWorking from home means fewer interruptions. Many people who do it say the cost is that work spills more easily into the rest of their day.

Paraphrased sources still need a citation

New wording doesn't change whose idea it is. In an essay, thesis or journal article, a paraphrased passage gets an in-text citation just as a quote does, in the style your course or journal uses. Leaving it out counts as plagiarism even when no sentence matches the source. If an AI tool helped along the way, check your school's or journal's policy as well, since many ask you to disclose it. How to cite AI use covers APA, MLA and Chicago.
